Background
The Microsoft Band 2 was released on October 2015 and is the second smartwatch in the series. It was discontinued October 2016.
The Band 2 is used to organize your active lifestyle by syncing to your smartphone, with several features such as checking your calendar, replying to email and texts, monitoring your heart rate, tracking exercise, calorie burn, and includes GPS tracking.
Identification
The Band 2 is distinguished from the original Band by the silver edge surrounding the watch face, whereas the original Band has an all-black design. The model number 1721 is printed on the bottom of the metal clasp.
